After the first three hours of the 12 Hours of Zandvoort, RAM Racing is leading the race following fantastic opening stints from Thomas Jäger (DE) and Tom Onslow-Cole (GB).

At 1600hrs local time, AMG works driver Jäger started the race from second on the grid in the #30 Mercedes SLS AMG GT3. Although the start was dry, it soon started to rain and after 35 minutes they pitted for wets, on which Jäger completed another hour and fifteen minutes.

Using a Code 60 to their advantage, RAM Racing pitted and switched driver to Onslow-Cole who continued the charge, closing the gap from 1 minute 20 seconds and taking the lead before the first part of the race ended.

The race resumes at 0845 local time tomorrow (30 May).

Thomas Jäger
“It was dry at the beginning but it soon started to rain. We stayed quite long on slicks, which was the right thing to do. We are very competitive, the pit stops were good, Tom did a great stint and everything looks great for tomorrow.”

Tom Onslow-Cole
“That was a great stint. The team did a great job with strategy and the car felt great. I think we should have a very good race tomorrow!”
